July 7, 2010 - Mac Internet Security by ESET
On Wednesday, July 7, the SDMUG presentation focuses on Mac security. For the most part, Macs have largely avoided the virus and hacker attacks that plague every other platform. As the percentage of Mac users grows, so does the security threat. The reality is that Mac users can no longer pretend that we're immune from those dangers.
Our presenter, ESET LLC is a global developer of security software, and introducing their Mac security software: ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Mac. ESET will explore the perceptions about Mac viruses, and discuss a variety of Mac security topics including known malware, software interface and interaction, speed, discovering threats and security software countermeasures to protect your Mac. There will be time for audience Q & A about Mac security and ESET. At the close of the presentation, the raffle will include a cool Apple prize!
